What should I wear to worship?
Visitors are sometimes concerned about what to wear. Some men wear jackets and ties, some wear jeans. Some women wear dresses, some wear slacks. Just dress comfortably but respectfully.
What style of worship service should I expect?
We hope that everyone can encounter God through our services of worship, and we realize that different people worship in different ways. Therefore, our worship services are a combination of various styles of music, prayers, and even ways of taking the Lord’s Supper.
What sort of people worship at First Presbyterian Church?
Our congregation is comprised of a variety of ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities. First Presbyterian Church is proud that a spectrum of beliefs and political standings are held by our members, and yet we come together to worship the same God and to respectfully listen to one another and learn from one another.
Is there anything else going on at the church on Sunday mornings?
Yes! On the second Sunday of each month we have Second Sunday Snacks at 9:45am which is located in the Chapel. This is a time of coffee, snacks and fellowship before worship.
Is childcare provided during worship?
Yes! Children are an integral part of the life of our congregation and our worship experience, and because of this all children are invited and encouraged to join the congregation in worship. If you have small children and would like to make use of our nursery, please let the Worship Coordinator or any of the ushers know and they will help you and your child find the nursery.
Is the church building handicap accessible?
Yes! On the south side of the building there is handicap parking and an entrance to the church building via the manse garage. Once inside, someone will be there to provide assistance in using our mobility lift.

At these gatherings we will learn about the church, discuss membership, get to know each other a little better, and address any questions you may have. If you are interested in attending Exploring Membership classes or have questions, please call the church office, (712) 362-4772, contact us, or head over to the events page to see when our next classes will be offered.
